The Northeast District is comprised of mainly single family and multi-family dwellings with about 15% small businesses on the major roads. Coral Springs High School, Coral Springs Charter School, 2 middle, 3 elementary and 4 private schools are in the district. Of the 21 public parks, Mullens Park provides the most comprehensive sports/recreation services year round.
The Northeast District police substation at 7827 NW 40th St. is manned by Officer Bill Capplis. Officer Capplis develops projects to lower crime, enforce City orndinances, coordinate free health and legal aid service and conduct free food giveaways.
The second substation is at 2940 Forest Hills Boulevard #104 (The Palms at Forest Hills Apartments). It is maintained by Officer Carla Gorman and Officer Dave Wind (954-340-5025). Both officers are committed to lowering crime through investigation, education of residents regarding state and local laws, and participation in community projects to improve the quality of life of the people they serve. |
