What to do if your alarm goes off

• Determine if there really is a fire or an intruder. If so, go to a safe location and call 911.

• If no emergency exists, don't panic. Remember your code.

• If the alarm activation was accidental, carefully disarm your system.

• After you've reset the system, call your monitoring station to report the accidental activation.

• If your security system is tying up your phone line, wait several seconds and try again. Or wait for the monitoring station to call you.

• Don't leave your home or business until you've spoken with the monitoring station.
