The Alexandra
Palm is originally from Queensland, Australia but has dapted readily
to Florida. Tree can be easily identified by the swollen trunk base
and the ridges left by the old leaf scars. This palm is particularily
attractive when in bloom or carrying red fruits. This palm requires
fertilization at least twice a year and should be irrigated during
prolonged periods of drought. The Alexandra Palm grows best in full
light but will tolerate moderate light.
