BEAUTYLEAF
(Callophylum sp.)

NOT NATIVE

Height : up to 50 ft.
Canopy Spread : 15 - 20 ft.

The Beautyleaf is a tree native to Central and South America as well as many of the Caribbean islands. It grows well on moist sandy soils and is often used for erosion stabalization in its native range.

The name "Beautyleaf" comes from the oval shaped, shiny green leaves. The leaf's unusually large number of parallel veins running perpindicular to the mid-vein make this tree easy to identify.
