(Platanus sp.)

Height : 75 - 90 ft.
Canopy Spread : 50 - 70 ft.

Sycamore trees are more commonly found in central and northern Florida. Under the right conditions Sycamores can also be grown in South Florida. The tree prefers sites that are moist and do not entirely dry out. In areas prone to drought irrigation is necessary. The dense canopy along with the leaf litter make it difficult to grow grass under it.

Sycamores are susceptible to a variety of different pests including lace bugs, aphids and fungi.
