June 5, 2007: Coral Springs Vice Mayor Roy Gold reappointed to continue serving on the School Oversight Committee
 
Coral Springs Vice Mayor Roy Gold was reappointed on May 8, 2007 by the Broward County Board of County Commissioners to continue serving on the School Oversight Committee. The School Oversight Committee was established by the Florida legislature to monitor, implement and coordinate the comprehensive land use plan and the school facilities planning program. “I have enjoyed the opportunity and honor to work with others to enhance and better our school system for the children of Broward County,” Vice Mayor Gold said. Vice Mayor Gold is known for his longtime involvement in the Broward County Schools as a former Chair of the North Area Advisory, a leader in the District Advisory Council and the current Chair of the Coral Springs Principal Education Committee.
