The City Commission recognized Jim Cerny, Director of Information Services, as he retires after 11 years of dedicated service.
“It has been a pleasure to work with you and I’m so thankful for everything you’ve done for us,” said Mayor Scott Brook. “You are an extraordinary leader.”
“Jim Cerny has been the best Chief Information Officer I have worked with over the past 30 years of management. He has taught us how to use technology to do our jobs better, cheaper, faster and in the case of public safety, safer. For that, we really appreciate your service,” City Manager Michael Levinson said.
Cerny has accepted a job closer to his home, near Tampa.
“It has been a very pleasurable and fulfilling experience to work in a unique organization like this, and rest assured that I will miss the culture and the people,” Jim Cerny said.
