The Florida Department of Transportation has been working on roadwork improvements from C-14 Canal to Sample Road along University Drive to ensure that the road meets traffic standards. The project’s target finish date is April 29, 2009.
The improvements consist of milling and resurfacing, traffic rail modifications signing and pavement markings, signalization and landscaping. Mast arms will also be installed at the University Drive intersections with Riverside Drive and Atlantic Boulevard.
Most of the work is conducted from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Mondays through Fridays, excluding holidays.
The contract with Ranger Construction does not allow lane closures during the daylight hours, but travelers should expect delays. All lane closures are scheduled between 9 p.m. and 6:30 a.m., as milling and paving will be done at that time.
All questions and complaints should be directed to Tony Grau, FDOT Project Manager, at 954-724-1956 or 954-931-0281 or by emailing Tgrau@eismanrusso.com.
