At approximately 1:30 a.m. on the morning of Monday October 31st, 2005 Coral Springs Fire Department crews were called to the scene of a pregnant female having contractions. When crews arrived to the 3600 block of Turtle Run Boulevard they found the mother in an imminent birth situation. Crews quickly began their transport of the expectant mother to the hospital. During the transport to the hospital the mother began giving birth. At 1:52 a.m. Coral Springs Fire Department Paramedics delivered a baby boy in the back of the rescue truck. The baby and mother were taken to Coral Springs Medical Center; both are in good condition. Fire Department crews rarely experience this joyous occasion during transport. All involved are pleased with the outcome.
