The City Commission proclaimed the week of April 13, 2008 as Crime Victim’s Rights Week. This proclamation recognizes that the City’s response to crime victims plays an important role in their efforts to rebuild their lives following the offense.
“I think there is not too many of us who have not been victims and its great to have a place where victims can go to discuss their trauma,” Vice Mayor Boccard said.
During Crime Victim’s Rights Week, the City will host a variety of programs including a bowling tournament, an awards ceremony and training session. For more information on any of these upcoming events, please call the Victims Advocate office at 954-340-5018.
