The City Commission recognized Officer Terry McKnight for receiving the Florida Police Combat League’s Top Twenty Shooter Award. For the past 21 years, Officer McKnight has competed with the Coral Springs Police Pistol Team and helped establish Coral Springs as the police team to beat in the Florida Police Combat League. The FPCL conducts 12 matches per year around the state to determine the top police marksman. “Terry has done an outstanding job of representing our department,” said Police Chief Duncan Foster. McKnight has been number one on the Governors Twenty 10 times and came in at a close second in 6 other years. For 2006, Officer McKnight is once again the #1 shooter in the State.
