The City’s Parks & Recreation Department will launch a variety of activities for seniors living in the Coral Springs area.
Beginning October 4, the Senior Center will offer crochet classes every Thursday from 11 AM to noon for all skill levels. Participants are required to bring their own supplies including a size G aluminum crochet hook and one skein or worsted weight yarn, either acrylic or cotton.
Seniors also will have an opportunity to stitch items for local charities. This activity also will be every Thursday from 11 AM to noon starting October 8. Those wishing to participate must bring their own items with which to knit or crochet.
Finally, a Senior Discussion Group will meet every Monday starting October 8 from 10:30 to 11:30 AM at Sartory Senior Center, 10150 N.W. 29th St., inside Mullins Park. Seniors will come together to discuss current events and other relevant topics during this program.
All programs are free to all seniors who attend. For more information, visit coralsprings.org/SeniorPrograms/index.cfm, or call 954-345-2209.
