October 9, 2007: Local teens roll with Car Club concept

Coral Springs teens loved the idea of starting a car club and they’ve gone ahead and set up a second meeting on Wednesday, October 24 at 4:30 PM in the Coral Springs Gymnasium.

Any local students who attend a high school in Coral Springs, including Marjory Stoneman Douglas, can join. Even if students missed out on the first kick-off meeting held in September, they are still invited to attend on October 24.

At this meeting, students will start their engines and begin brainstorming on an official name for the club, chose the car they will customize, and determine when the subcommittees will meet. The subcommittees include an advertising team, members interested in customizing the interior, mechanics, artists and much more.

The Coral Springs Gymnasium is located at 2501 Coral Springs Drive, near the intersection of Royal Palm Boulevard and Coral Springs Drive. For more information, call 954-345-2200.
