February 11, 2008: Photo-Op: Seniors donate squares for quilts to Warm Up America

On Thursday, February 14 at 11 AM at Sartory Senior Center, a representative from Warm Up America will accept crochet squares from Coral Springs seniors who have lovingly worked on them for the past couple months.

The pieces will be put together to create quilts. Warm Up America! (WUA!), is an organization made up of volunteers who create handmade afghan blankets, clothing and accessories to help those in need. These items provide warmth and comfort to people who have lost their homes, fled abusive relations, or are being cared for in hospices, shelters, hospitals, and nursing home.

Sartory Senior Center is located 10150 NW 29 Street in Mullins Park. Any media interested in photographing this exchange, please contact Nedra Lyon at 954-345-2209.
