At 1:10 p.m. on Friday June 30, 2006 the Coral Springs Fire Department 9-1-1 center received a call regarding two people that were possibly struck by lightning. When rescue crews arrived, they found two male subjects lying on the ground, semi-conscious, with wounds indicative of lightning strike exit wounds. Both patients appeared to be in their 30’s and were possibly conducting maintenance work at the Broken Woods Country Club, located at 3465 Broken Woods Drive. The patients were transported in serious but stable condition to North Broward Medical Center. Further information will be provided as it becomes available.
