January 25, 2008:Murder Suspect Arrested

During a joint investigation with the Homicide Detectives from the Coral Springs Police Department, the US Marshall Service (Broward County Violent Fugitive Task Force) apprehended Markinsey Metayer, 22, at his home located at 426 NW 56th Street, Miami, Florida. 

The arrest was in conjunction with a Coral Springs homicide investigation stemming from a triple shooting that occurred on 7/22/07. The shooting left one person dead and two seriously injured.


Metayer is the second suspect arrested in this case and he has already been indicted by the Grand Jury for 1st Degree Murder.  Additionally Metayer is also being charged with Attempted Murder and Armed Robbery.


Patrick E. Young, 28, of Miami was arrested on July 23, 2007 and charged with one count of Murder, one count of Attempted Murder and two counts of Armed Robbery in reference to the shooting.


Metayer was transported to Broward County Jail.
