The City of Coral Springs is currently accepting applications from non-profit organizations interested in receiving financial assistance to produce special events for the benefit of Coral Springs residents and surrounding communities. Applicants must have documentation of 501C(3) status and incorporation as a business in the State of Florida. Events must be held between April 1 and September 30, 2007 to qualify for this round of funding. Events must be held in the City of Coral Springs. Applications will be accepted in the following categories: cultural, educational, business, health and environmental. Events should be of broad interest to the community at large. Past organizations that have benefitted from special events funding are the Association of Indians in America, Coral Springs Mothers of Multiples, Friends of Music, and the J.P. Taravella High School Drama Club, among others. Applications are available at the following locations: City Hall, 9551 West Sample Road; City Hall in the Mall, located in the Coral Square Mall; and the Coral Springs Center for the Arts, 2855 Coral Springs Drive. Applications can also be downloaded from the City’s website at www.coralsprings.org. The final deadline for submission is 5:00 p.m. on March 15, 2007.
