During an evening storm on Saturday August 6, four homes in Coral Springs were struck by lightening. Two of the four homes suffered only minor roof damage, but two others suffered fire damage from the lightening. One home in Eagle Trace had a bolt of lightening actually come through the home and cause truss damage and smoldering. Another home in the 4300 block of NW 155th Ave took a strike on a dryer vent on the roof. The electricity traveled down the pipe and started a fire in some insulation and the room that housed the dryer. During this major storm, no one was injured.
