The City of Coral Springs has named Bryan Sastokas as Director of Information Services. Sastokas is the former Executive Director of Information Services for the Universal Service Administrative Company in Washington D.C.
City Manager Mike Levinson is pleased to have Sastokas join the management team. “Bryan is a consummate professional with an impressive skill set, including process improvements, organizational design and restructuring, and project management,” Levinson said.
Sastokas has been selected by Computerworld Magazine as one of the Premier 100 IT Leaders in 2007 and one of the 40 Most Innovative IT Executives under the age of 40.
“It is truly an honor to be entrusted with the responsibility of leading the City’s Information Services Division,” Sastokas said. “It will also be my pleasure to work with Mayor Brook, the City Commission, City Manager Levinson and the incredibly talented and dedicated staff citywide.”
Sastokas majored in Computer Engineering during his undergraduate studies at The Pennsylvania State University, Software Engineering during his graduate studies at Harvard University, and also holds a M.S. in Management from Cambridge College. In addition, Sastokas has received a graduate certificate in Senior Executive Leadership from Georgetown University and served as a Teaching Fellow at Harvard University.
In his previous capacity as Executive Director of Information Services, Sastokas led a technology and service based organization creating economic value for the 8 billion dollar Universal Service Fund. He is a valued member of senior executive teams, who has contributed a seasoned, broad-based perspective to create pragmatic IT strategies and implementation plans designed for maximum return at the lowest possible cost.
