Don’t miss your chance to go on a “Fantastic” Holiday Parade along Sample Road at the City of Coral Springs annual holiday parade, which will celebrate the season on Wednesday, December 12 at 7 PM.
The 2007 Holiday Parade will feature decorated floats and other entries with a sports theme, and will proceed along Sample Road from Coral Springs Drive to City Hall.
Our grand marshal this year is Florida Marlins Catcher Matt Treanor. Former Miami Dolphin player Troy Stradford and Russ Morley of Morley in the Morning will be the masters of ceremony.
Traditionally, the parade draws thousands of spectators and more than 75 floats, bands and walking groups. All groups, including local schools, civic organizations, and businesses are welcome to participate.
Spectators should wear their favorite sports clothing and plan to make a night of it, as businesses along the parade route are encouraged to stay open the night of the holiday parade to serve those watching the parade.
Much of the success of the City’s holiday parade is the result of generous corporate sponsors, including: ABC Roofing, Advanced Cable Communications, Coral Springs Auto Mall, Roofing Concepts Unlimited/Roof Doctors, AAA Trophy, Al Hendrickson Toyota, Country Club of Coral Springs, Edco Awards, Maroone Chrysler Jeep, Maroone Ford, Sun-Sentinel, Wings Plus, Winterfest, and 850AM WFTL Radio.
Please note that Sample Road west of University Drive and east of NW 110th Avenue, and Coral Springs Drive north of NW 29th Street and south of NW 37th Street, will be closed on December 12 from 5 PM until approximately 10 PM.
In case of rain, the parade will be held on Thursday, December 13. For more information, please call 954-345-2200 or visit coralsprings.org/holidayparade.
