The City of Coral Springs will be hosting a workshop for real estate professionals interested in participating in the City’s purchase assistance program on Thursday, October 15 from 10:30 a.m. to noon at the Northwest Regional Library.
The purpose of the Neighborhood Stabilization Program is to facilitate the purchase and rehabilitation of foreclosed and abandoned properties that might otherwise become sources of abandonment and blight within the community. Earlier this year, the City received $3,378,142 in emergency assistance from the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) through the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG). In addition, the City applied for NSP2 funds, but has yet to receive a response on the availability of funds.
All real estate professionals, especially those with experience and an interest in working with affordable housing programs, are encouraged to attend the workshop. Licensed real estate agents who attend the workshop will be added to the program’s updated real estate agents list, which will be available at www.crafla.com with other relevant program information.
