October 5, 2009: City offers grant money for At-Risk Programming

The City of Coral Springs is committed to supporting our families and youth. One of the areas of concern for the City is youth who are at-risk for involvement in high-risk behaviors such as drug and alcohol abuse, gang and other illegal activity or teen pregnancy.

The City of Coral Springs wishes to partner with non-profit organizations to provide programs, which reach at-risk youth and their families who have not been otherwise served by existing programs. Our hope is to reach those youth most in need of a broad-based program, which has the capability of changing family behaviors and the direction of children’s lives. We understand the importance of parental influence to the success of any such program, and encourage all applicants to include the family in their approach. We strongly encourage all bidders to partner with other agencies to leverage their resources.

Applications will be accepted until Saturday, October 31 at 1 p.m. and can be downloaded from the City's web site at If you’d like for an application to be mailed to you, please call Parks and Recreation at 954-345-2200.
