November 10, 2009:Boca Raton Resident Killed in Crash
A Boca Raton resident was killed this afternoon after the motorcycle he was riding struck a vehicle at the intersection of NW 40 Street and Riverside Drive.
Preliminary investigation shows that around 11:40am a 2010 white Honda CRV driven by Brooke Zaleski, 28, of Coral Springs was attempting to turn north on Riverside Drive from NW 40 Street when a 2004 red/black Suzuki Motorcycle driven by John Michael Silva, 21, of Boca Raton struck her vehicle. Medina was traveling south on Riverside Drive when he struck Zaleski’s vehicle. Medina was ejected from the motorcycle and pronounced dead at the scene. Medina was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
Witness information that was gathered at the scene is alleging that Medina ran a solid red light.
Zaleski suffered minor injuries and was treated and released at the scene.
