December 7, 2009: Residents invited to participate in Community Garden Project

The City of Coral Springs is inviting interested residents to participate in creating a Community Garden at the Sportsplex, near the Dr. Steven G. Paul Dog Park. Plots, which will be 8’ by 4’, will be on sale for $32 a year. There is a limit of one plot per participant during the program’s first year. Participants may grow whatever produce they’d like and once it blooms, it’s all theirs.
The City will be providing the land and residents will collaborate with labor and materials for planting fruits and vegetables. The Coral Springs Rotary Club is also contributing by implementing and overseeing guidelines and procedures for use of the land.
