January 19, 2010: Community Garden ribbon cutting ceremony set for January 26

A ribbon cutting ceremony for the Rotary Community Garden of Coral Springs is set for Tuesday, January 26 at 12:15 p.m. The Garden is located at the Sportsplex, near the Dr. Steven G. Paul Dog Park. Participants may grow whatever produce they’d like and once it blooms, it’s all theirs.

Residents interested in purchasing an 8’ by 4’ garden plot for an annual $32 may apply at the Coral Springs Gymnasium, 2501 Coral Springs Drive. There is a limit of one plot per participant during the program’s first year. Gardeners may start planting any time after January 26.

ARC Building Generations and Whole Foods Market are the title sponsors for the Garden. Sponsorships are available for $250 for six months.
