Vice Mayor Claudette Bruck was selected to serve on the 2010 Community and Economic Development Steering Committee for the National League of Cities.
This committee deals with housing, community and economic development, land use, recreation and parks, historic preservation, and international competitiveness.
“All of the issues discussed by this committee are issues of concern and being discussed here in Coral Springs, thus, serving on this committee is a direct benefit to our City,” Vice Mayor Bruck said. “In addition, I have the opportunity to share our best practices with elected officials from around the country.”
In March of 2010, the CED Committee will chose topics for policy development this year, which members will later research and draft policy positions for policy and advocacy committee review. For more information, visit www.nlc.org.
