Bring the family out to this great community festival and enjoy the international flavors of the many diverse groups that abound in Coral Springs. On Sunday, April 11 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., the fourth annual WorldFest Celebration gets into full swing at the Sportsplex, 2575 Sportsplex Drive. Admission to this outdoor festival is free, but there will be a parking fee of $3 per vehicle.
The festival will cover a spectacular array of multi-cultural entertainment, cuisine and culture that salutes the diverse population in the Coral Springs area. Delicious cultural foods, live music, arts and crafts, educational activities, and amusements for children will be featured.
At 12:30 and 3:30 p.m., there will be Cricket Exhibition Games. Visitors will have a chance to learn more about this exciting game and test their skills under the guidance of experienced players. Teams participating in the exhibition games include The Punjabi Association of South Florida, Sindhi Association of Florida and South Florida Tamil Sangam. Although the game play and rules are very different, the basic concept of cricket is similar to that of baseball.
