A Plantation resident was pronounced dead this morning as a result of the injuries he suffered during a motor vehicle crash on June 27, 2010.
Christopher Lee Hamby, 26, of Plantation was pronounced dead at the scene at approximately 5:53am this morning.
Preliminary investigation shows that around 5:29am on June 27, 2010 Hamby was traveling east in the westbound lanes at the 9200 block of Riverside Dr. in a 2001 Honda Civic and collided head-on with a 2002 Honda Odyssey van driven by Mohammed Rehman, 53, of Coral Springs. Also in the Odyssey van were Mr. Rehman’s children ages 13 and 15. Mr. Rehman and his children were transported to an area hospital for injuries received during the crash.
