Coral Springs- On September 9th, 2010 at 11:00 a.m., Coral Springs Fire Department crews were summoned to a report of a child that was burned. When they arrived, they found a 7 year old female with 2nd and 3rd degree burns on the lower portion of her body. The patient accidentally spilled hot coffee onto her from the counter-top. The female was taken to a local field and transferred to BSO Air Rescue for air transport to Broward General Medical Center.
The patient was burned approximately 18% of body surface area. No foul play is suspected. The address of the incident can not be released in accordance with Federal HIPAA regulations.
