Coral Springs- On Monday September 13th, 2010, Coral Springs firefighters received a call about smoke coming from an apartment at 4277 NW 89th Avenue. When firefighters arrived they found heavy black smoke and flames coming from the rear of an apartment. They quickly attacked the fire and had it under control within a few minutes.
Three people were home at the time of the fire. Those three residents were all treated for smoke inhalation. None of the victims were transported at the time of this release.
The fire was believed to have started in the patio. Most of the damage was confined to the patio, however smoke damaged the inside of the apartment as well as the apartment above.
Coral Springs Fire Department investigators are working to determine what started the fire. No other injuries were reported.
