On March 12, 2010 Officers were dispatched to 3572 Sanctuary Drive concerning a male seen inside a neighbors car. Patrol units responded and set up a perimeter, verified a burglary had taken place and issued a bolo for the suspect. When the call was dispatched Officer Racine was ending his shift and was pulling into his own driveway. He volunteered and responded to the area of the burglary. Racine remained mobile and gathered intelligence from neighbors who described a second suspect. Officer Racine relayed this information to other officers. Officer Racine located a suspect, Kyle Davidson, who was in possession of a large amount of stolen property. From Davidson he obtained the name and address of a known associate and responded to that address. The associate was Patrick Hullinger, who matched the description of the second suspect. Officer Racine was granted permission to search Hullinger’s home and located more stolen property and narcotics. It is for this reason that Officer Jeremy Racine is being awarded the Exceptional Police Initiative Commendation.
