The Coral Springs Fire Training Academy is offering a full-time Minimum Fire Standards Course starting on Monday, March 7. This 450-hour course runs for 13 consecutive weeks, and meets Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Cost is $2,450 for the course and other fees apply. Applications must be submitted by Monday, February 16.
Part-time Minimum Fire Standards Courses are also available starting on Saturday, March 5. This 450-hour course runs for 27 consecutive weeks, and meets Tuesday and Thursday nights from 5:30 to 10:30 p.m., one Friday night a month from 5:30 to 10:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Cost is $2,450 for the course and other fees apply. Applications must be submitted by Thursday, February 10.
Applications are available at www.CoralSpringsFireAcademy.org, under Applications. Interested participants must read and understand the requirements before submitting an application. Registration is accepted on a first come, first served basis. Bunker gear may be rented for the entire duration of the class.
The Physical Agility Test (PAT) is available on Sunday, February 20 at 8:30 a.m. Participants interested in a practice class for the PAT can do so on Friday, February 11 at 6 p.m. Please note that all medical exams must be completed at MedExpress Urgent Care, located at 1809 N. University Drive, Coral Springs.
