February 28, 2011: Fire Academy offers part-time minimum standards fire courses
 

The Coral Springs Fire Training Academy is offering a full-time Minimum Fire Standards Course starting on Saturday, March 26. This 450-hour course runs for 27 consecutive weeks, and meets Tuesday and Thursday nights from 5:30 to 10:30 p.m., one Friday night per month and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Cost is $2,450 for the course and other fees apply. Applications must be submitted by Monday, March 17.

Applications are available at www.CoralSpringsFireAcademy.org, under Applications. Interested participants must read and understand the requirements before submitting an application. Registration is accepted on a first come, first served basis. Bunker gear may be rented for the entire duration of the class.

The Physical Agility Test (PAT) is available on Sunday, March 20 at 8:30 a.m. Please note that all medical exams must be completed at MedExpress Urgent Care, located at 1809 N. University Drive, Coral Springs.
