Exceptional Police Initiative Commendation – K-9 Officer Corey Logan

In June 2010, while off-duty K-9 Officer Corey Logan stopped in his personal vehicle at the intersection of Wiles Road and Rock Island, Officer Logan smelled a strong odor of marijuana coming from a nearby car. Officer Logan contacted dispatch and coordinated a stop of the vehicle by patrol officers. That stop resulted in the arrest of a male subject for narcotics and traffic charges. The following day, the FBI contacted CSPD and stated that fingerprints obtained from the subject were found to match those of a subject wanted out of Maricopa County (Phoenix, AZ) for multiple felony drug and immigration charges.
