Special City Commission Meeting Set for July 26
 

As part of the City’s annual Business Planning process, the City of Coral Springs has scheduled three meetings to discuss the Fiscal Year 2012 budget and develop a sound financial strategy, focusing on the City’s seven strategic priorities and our citizen’s needs.

This year, a Business Plan Preview Workshop was held on June 7, followed by a Business Plan Workshop on July 7. At this meeting, City Manager Erdal Dönmez and senior staff presented to the Commission an outline of proposed Business Plan initiatives for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 2011. The recommended initiatives are geared toward enhancing the aesthetics of the City, education, business development, and community safety.

The third Business Plan discussion will be held during a Special City Commission Meeting on Tuesday, July 26 at 5 p.m. in the Commission Chambers. During this meeting, new initiatives as well as on-going programs will be approved by the City Commission for implementation and development in the 2012 Business Plan and Annual Budget.  Commissioners will also adopt the TRIM notice, which is the proposed millage rate, approve the Fire Assessment Fee and the Solid Waste Assessment Fee.  In addition, City staff will present a recommended list of capital improvements to the Commission at this meeting.
