The City is hosting its annual Day of Remembrance to honor those who lost their lives 10 years ago during the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks in New York, Washington D.C. and Pennsylvania.
This year, the City will honor the victims at a commemoration ceremony on Sunday, September 11, at the September 11th Memorial located outside the Northwest Regional Library, 3151 N. University Drive, starting at 8:45 a.m. There also will be a wreath placed by the monument followed by a brief tribute from City officials and local families who lost a loved one on September 11, 2001. Brunch will also be served at the Charter School Cafeteria after the ceremony.
Current military members and veterans are encouraged to attend. For more information or if you are interested in becoming a sponsor, call 954-344-1147 or e-mail email@example.com.
