Donations needed as Giving Tree celebration kicks-off

Celebrating 17 years in Coral Springs, the Giving Tree project brings together community members to collect and distribute toys, nonperishable food and cash to those less-fortunate families in our community. The official kick-off ceremony will be Friday, December 2 at 5:30 p.m. at City Hall in the Mall, 9239 W. Atlantic Blvd.

The Giving Tree is co-sponsored by City Hall in the Mall, Turtle Creek Wal-Mart and Advanced Cable Communications. Donations of food, toys and money will be accepted at City Hall in the Mall November 14 through December 13. Wal-Mart donated items are shaped into a tree centerpiece located inside City Hall in the Mall.

“The tree is a reminder that the holidays are a wonderful time to share with those who are less fortunate,” said Marie Giacalone, senior community relations coordinator at City Hall in the Mall.
