The City of Coral Springs has named Melissa Heller as Director of Finance. Heller, a Coral Springs resident, joins the City of Coral Springs having previously worked for Broward County for more than 12 years.
“I am pleased to welcome Melissa to our Management Team. She is smart, hard-working, and has been tested during difficult economic times. She has the energy needed to help the City continue on its path of sound financial management,” City Manager Erdal Donmez said.
Heller has served in several capacities for Broward County Government. She started off as a Budget Analyst in 1999 and was later promoted to Deputy Chief Financial Officer in 2007. She has extensive analytical and organizational experience, as well as communication and consensus-building skills.
“As a Coral Springs resident, I am thrilled to be in a position where I’ll be able to make a difference in my community every day,” Heller said.
Heller graduated from Maxwell School at Syracuse University with a Masters in Public Administration degree in 1999 and Cornell University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1997.
