A group of children in Kindergarten through fifth grades recently completed the latest Rallyball Tennis session at Cypress Park Tennis Center in Coral Springs. Rallyball is a six-week program teaching youth the fundamentals of tennis while allowing them to compete in a team setting.
The Kindergarten and first grade division champions were the Gators with a total of 538 points. Team members included Desmond Manco, Parker Chinloy, Melanie Bello, Caylee Barnes, Bryce Ewan, Victoria Miller, David Tang and Ali Miller. Second Place went to the Hurricanes, whose team was comprised of Chloe Dominique, Jayden Algarin, Jenny Shapiro, Manu Raghubala, Matthew Paccione, Charlie Tecza, Carrie Singh and Kyle Cagot.
The second and third grade division was won by the Seminoles with a team total of 589 points. The team included Melanie Cevallos, Chandler Martin, Maria Ilieva, Kirsten Heidinger, Olivia Chinloy, TJ Argov, Jewel Vertiz and Julia Abcug. Second place was captured by the Knights, whose members included Jason Leavy, Hannah Smith, Madison Leonard, Caroline Riqueime, Mitchell Hoffman, Zoe Moreno and Jacob Paccione.
The fourth and fifth grade champions were the Dolphins with 916 points, followed by the Heat with 867 points. The Dolphins team members were Madison Maingot, Boris Iliev, Vanessa West, Jerick Besana, Brooke Gotthelf and Jade Dicuia. The Heat team consisted of Angeli Kasslater, Julliet Kasslater, Avery Abreu, Damon Curtis, Chandler Martin and Samantha Miller.
