The Coral Springs Fire Station 80 has been recognized in the November issue of Fire Chief Magazine, which honored the facility’s design as being “Career Notable” in its 2011 StationStyle Design Awards.
Completed in July 2010, the station, which is adjacent to the renovated Public Safety Building, is home to Coral Springs Fire and Rescue headquarters. Located at 2825 Coral Springs Drive, the 13,400-square-foot facility houses four apparatus bays, housing a Battalion Chief, Advanced Life Support Rescue Truck, Quint/Aerial Device, Air Support Unity, Several Reserve Apparatus, and other pieces of specialized equipment. CPZ Architects Inc. was the architect, and Pirtle Construction was the contractor on the project. Station 80 has also received the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design gold certification for its environmentally friendly innovations.
“I am very excited that Station 80 was featured as “Career Notable” in Fire Chief Magazine,” Fire Chief Mark Curran said. “On behalf of the City, I want to to thank those who helped with the planning and design of the station. It is truly a beautiful facility that provides efficient and effective services to our community.”
