The City’s aesthetics continue to be a top priority. Some window signs posted at local businesses are not compliant with the City’s sign ordinance. In an effort to maintain appropriate visibility and public safety, window signs should be geared towards pedestrian, not vehicular traffic.
A window sign brochure is now available to educate business owners of the current regulations. The brochure gives examples of determining the allowable area regarding square footage and gives the proper letter or numeral size. If the window signs are not in compliance within the time frame, then Code Enforcement will take the appropriate actions to seek compliance. Businesses will be given a 60 day grace period to bring window signs to code.
The brochure is available online at www.CoralSprings.org/code.
