Donations needed as Giving Tree celebration kicks-off

Celebrating 18 years in Coral Springs, the Giving Tree project brings together the community to collect and distribute toys, nonperishable food and cash to those less-fortunate families in our City. The official kick-off ceremony will be Friday, December 7 at 5:30 p.m. at City Hall in the Mall, located at 9239 W. Atlantic Blvd.

The Giving Tree is co-sponsored by City Hall in the Mall, Turtle Creek Wal-Mart and Advanced Cable Communications. Donations of food, toys and money will be accepted at City Hall in the Mall November 26 through December 17. The annual tree inside City Hall in the Mall is made from cans of food and gifts donated by Wal-Mart and will eventually go to needy families in the community.

“The holidays are a wonderful time to come together as a community and help those less fortunate,” Senior Community Relations Coordinator Marie Giacalone said.
