Fire Academy offers part-time minimum standards fire courses in February
 

           The Coral Springs Fire Training Academy is offering a part-time Minimum Fire Standards Course available starting on Saturday, February 16 at 8 a.m. This 420-hour course runs for 22 weeks, and meets Monday and Wednesday nights from 5:30 to 10:30 p.m., the first Friday of each month from 5:30pm to 10:30pm and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Cost is $2,058 for the course and other fees apply. Registration starts November 26. This course is a mentally, physically, and emotionally challenging program that includes extensive classroom and practical elements.

           Applications are available at www.CoralSpringsFireAcademy.org, under Applications. Interested participants must read and understand the requirements before submitting an application. Registration is accepted on a first come, first served basis. Bunker gear may be rented for the entire duration of the class through independent companies. The Physical Agility Test (PAT) is available on Sunday, February 3 at 8:30 a.m.
