Officers Schroy and Schaut were dispatched to a local residence in reference to male experiencing mental issues. Upon arrival the complainant advised that her adult son was in fact being treated for a mental condition. She also stated that the family’s dog had been missing since the previous day and that she found her son’s shorts covered in blood, along with a knife in the home’s garbage can. Upon arrival, the Officers on scene identified a foul odor coming from the wooded area to the south of the residence. The missing dog was found to be deceased in the woods. Further investigation revealed that the complainant’s son was in-fact responsible for the heinous death of the dog. The suspect made full confession and was incarcerated.
