City to recognize local teachers and students

In honor of Teacher Appreciation Week, the City Commission will be recognizing the Teachers and Principals of the Year from each public and private school as part of their new school recognition program, “Shine On!” – Recognition of Excellence. Along with the teachers, one student from each of the graduating classes (5th, 8th and 12th grades) in each school will also be honored for Exemplary Community Service in their school or community. This end-of-year Award Ceremony will take place on Wednesday, May 21 at 4 p.m. at the Coral Springs Charter School.

“No one spends more time with our students than our dedicated teachers and principals, shaping and influencing the future leaders of our community,” Mayor Vince Boccard said. “I am honored to be able to recognize all our wonderful teachers and principals, and, of course, our students for their outstanding Community Service.”

Coral Springs Charter School is located at 3201 N. University Drive, on the southeast corner of Sample Road and University Drive.
