Tree trimming before Hurricane Season

As hurricane season approaches, the City encourages residents to do all major cutting of vegetation (i.e., tree removal) before June 1. Falling trees can often cause the most damage in the event of a storm.

Homeowners should evaluate their trees to be trimmed by professional landscapers. This will reduce resistance and tree toppling from hurricane wind force.

If you are having trees removed or doing any other major cutting, be sure to have your contractor include the price of debris removal as part of their service. Please note that tree removal may require a City permit.

Waste Pro arranges for removal of routine yard waste through the weekly bulk/yard waste collection on the first collection of the week. There is a limit of 6 cubic yards per week. Any additional disposal will be picked up for an additional fee.

City residents may also bring excess yard waste to the Waste Transfer Station at the west end of Wiles Road on Saturday or Sunday afternoon. For additional information, visit CoralSprings.org/WastePro.
