The Coral Springs Police Department and Broward Sheriff’s Office conducted a joint operation to catch two suspects committing burglaries.
On 5/14/14, members of the Coral Springs Police Department Burglary Enforcement and Reduction Unit “BEAR,” Strategic Enforcement Team “SET,” and Broward Sheriff’s Office Burglary Apprehension Team “BAT,” partnered up to catch two burglary suspects in the act. Working off of criminal intelligence received by Coral Springs detectives, officers followed the suspects into the city of North Lauderdale where they conducted surveillance on them. Officers then witnessed the suspects commit an in-progress residential burglary. The two suspects were taken into custody at the 5900 block of Rock Island Road in North Lauderdale. They were identified as Clinton Walker, 27, of Oakland Park, and Curtis Lee King, 32, of Sunrise. Detectives were able to recover $4,900. in stolen property and return it to the victim. Walker and Curtis were taken to Broward County Jail.
This is the second joint operation in the last month leading to the arrest of multiple suspects committing burglaries throughout Broward County.
