Hometown Heroes Banner Program

Coral Springs is home to countless active military personnel and veterans, and the City would like to recognize these heroes for their sacrifice and service to our Country. 

The City’s Hometown Heroes Banner Program was created for the community to publicly honor and recognize service members and veterans who reside in the City of Coral Springs. 

Eligible Branches of Military Service:

  • Air Force
  • Army
  • Coast Guard
  • National Guard - Active Reserves
  • Navy
  • Marines
  • Space Force

Banner Details

  • Banners will periodically change on a rotational basis, with each service member receiving one banner location along “Freedom Lane” – a portion of University Drive between Royal Palm Boulevard and Ramblewood Drive – for approximately three months, or as otherwise determined in the sole discretion of the City of Coral Springs.
  • After the banner is taken down, it will be available for pickup from City Hall by the service member or their family and theirs to keep.

How to Apply

Before submitting an application please be sure to have the following ready: 

  1. Digital Photographs - Please upload a high-resolution digital photograph (head/neck/shoulders), or a 300-dpi or higher scan. Official military/in-uniform portrait is preferred.
  2. Proof of Residency- The service member’s proof of Coral Springs residency (i.e., copy of driver’s license or utility bill).
  3. Verification of Active-Duty status or honorable discharge.
