Commission approves changes to recycling methods
During the Tuesday, October 20, City Commission meeting, officials approved an amendment to the Waste Management Agreement, which includes changes to what and how recyclables are collected. There is a new pest attacking ficus trees and hedges in Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach Counties. This pest was identified as the fig (ficus) whitefly, Singhiella simplex.
