Broward County Parks and Recreation http://www.broward.org/parks/bicycle.htm The County offers numerous parks, trails and pathways for cyclists of all types. Ride the roads, go tandem or challenge yourself on mountain trails throughout Broward.
Broward County Bicycle Suitability Map http://www.broward.org/transportationplanning/tpi02002.htm This map serves as a reference for biking in Broward County. A color-coded map shows areas with bike lanes and those less suited to two-wheel traffic. The map serves as a guide to tell riders how much interaction with traffic they can expect.
Florida Bicycle Association
http://www.floridabicycle.org/index.html Made up of cycling advocates, the FBA lobbies for increased cycling safety and awareness through legislation. The web site also provides online video safety resources, along with links to state bike laws.
Pedestrian and Bicycling Information Center
http://www.bicyclinginfo.org/ The PBIC is a national clearinghouse for a variety of pedestrian and bicycle safety issues. Many helpful links can be found on this site, including how to implement cycling safety solutions in your hometown.
National Highway Traffic Safety Administration From the federal government, this site provides information for children and adults about bike safety. Features include web videos, interactive material for children, and links to additional online resources.
Bicycle Helmet Safety Institute http://www.helmets.org/ The site is from members of the Washington Area Bicyclist Association and provides tips of purchasing the correct helmet, along with how to properly fit the helmet.
